Lead Technician – Facilities Maintenance

About the role

The Lead Technician will oversee the maintenance and repair of facilities machinery across mid‑rise to high‑rise commercial and residential buildings. This position ensures that all mechanical, electrical and electromechanical systems operate safely and efficiently while supporting the overall reliability of the property.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise a team of technicians and junior supervisors in daily maintenance activities.
• Plan, schedule and execute preventive maintenance programs for all building systems.
• Coordinate corrective repairs, troubleshoot equipment failures, and ensure timely resolution.
• Maintain compliance with all safety regulations and company safety policies.
• Manage spare‑parts inventory, procurement, and documentation of maintenance records.
• Prepare reports on system performance, downtime, and improvement recommendations.

Required profile

• Certificate of competence in electromechanical, electric, mechanical or NCII qualification.
• Minimum of 3 years experience as a team leader or junior supervisor in facilities maintenance/repair.
• Experience working in mid‑rise to high‑rise building environments (commercial or residential).
• Multi‑skilled technician with strong knowledge of safety compliance.
