Lead Engineer – Project Management (Food & Beverage)

About the role

The Lead Engineer – Project Management will oversee all engineering and construction projects for Fredley Group, including new store openings, renovations, facility upgrades, and major equipment installations. The role ensures projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet the company’s quality, safety, and operational standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end project management of store construction, fit‑outs, renovations and technical upgrades.
• Develop project timelines, budgets, scopes of work and allocate resources.
• Review and approve engineering plans, layouts and technical specifications, ensuring compliance with building codes and safety regulations.
• Oversee installation of kitchen equipment, HVAC, electrical, plumbing and POS infrastructure.
• Source, evaluate and manage contractors, negotiate contracts and monitor performance.
• Prepare cost estimates, monitor expenditures and approve billing progress claims.
• Coordinate with Operations, Marketing, IT and Finance to ensure smooth store turnover and launch readiness.
• Maintain project documentation, permits, warranties and regular progress reports.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 5–8 years of experience in project management, construction or engineering operations, preferably in retail or F&B.
• Licensed Engineer (preferred) and proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
