L2 Systems Escalation Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a skilled L2 Systems Escalation Engineer to provide Level‑2 support for Windows Server, Azure AD, Microsoft 365, Exchange Online, Cloud PC (Windows 365), Azure Virtual Desktop and email security platforms. The role involves managing, troubleshooting and optimizing Microsoft infrastructure environments to ensure high availability, security and compliance across cloud and hybrid platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Administer and support Windows Server components such as AD DS, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, DFS and Hyper‑V.
• Manage Azure AD (Microsoft Entra ID) for identity, authentication and access management.
• Provide L2 support for Microsoft 365 services including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint and OneDrive.
• Administer Exchange Online mail flow, transport rules, mailbox permissions, retention policies and deliverability issues.
• Provision, monitor and maintain Windows 365 Cloud PCs and Azure Virtual Desktop environments.
• Support Azure Virtual Desktop host pools, session hosts, FSLogix profiles and application delivery.
• Troubleshoot Proofpoint and Mimecast email security platforms, including spam filtering and threat protection.
• Implement and maintain security, compliance and Conditional Access policies across Microsoft and third‑party services.
• Perform routine maintenance, patch management and vulnerability remediation.
• Automate tasks with PowerShell and participate in migration, upgrade and modernization projects.

Required profile

• 4–8 years of experience with Windows Server, Microsoft 365 and cloud infrastructure.
• Hands‑on experience administering Exchange Online, Azure AD and hybrid identity environments.
• Proven experience with Windows 365 Cloud PC and Azure Virtual Desktop administration.
• Experience managing Proofpoint and/or Mimecast email security solutions.
• Strong PowerShell scripting and automation abilities.
• Familiarity with ITIL processes, especially problem and change management.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English.
