Junior Software Engineer (Vue, Java)

About the role

We are looking for a Junior Software Engineer to join our Manila technology team. The role focuses on building fast, scalable web applications using Vue and Java, and involves the full software development lifecycle for enterprise‑level solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in agile ceremonies such as grooming, planning, daily stand‑ups, sprint reviews and retrospectives.
• Design, develop and maintain user‑experience (UX) for various applications in an Agile environment.
• Ensure responsive implementation and globalisation of UI components.
• Write and improve design patterns and reusable, scalable UI components.
• Contribute to architecture, design and coding of next‑generation web‑based enterprise solutions.
• Collaborate with developers, designers and analysts to solve problems.
• Assist in deployment of releases and patches, and provide out‑of‑hours production support on a rotational basis.
• Mentor team members and help them progress in their careers.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years of professional software development experience.

Required skills

• Java and Spring Boot.
• Vue.js and other client‑side libraries.
• AWS fundamentals (S3, EC2, Lambda, RDS, IAM).
• Git workflow and unit‑testing frameworks.
• AI‑assisted coding tools such as Claude or GitHub Copilot.
