Junior Property Manager / Maintenance Coordinator (Remote)

About the role

OPTIMAL is seeking a proactive Junior Property Manager / Maintenance Coordinator to support the daily operations of a residential portfolio and oversee maintenance activities across both residential and commercial properties. This remote, full‑time position is ideal for someone who can juggle multiple priorities, take ownership of tasks, and thrive in a fast‑paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day operations of a 32‑unit residential portfolio.
• Coordinate move‑ins, move‑outs, and unit turnovers.
• Handle vacancy postings, leasing coordination, applicant screening, lease renewals and rent increases.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for tenant concerns and requests.
• Schedule and follow up on maintenance work orders, vendor appointments, and obtain bids for projects.
• Assist the commercial property management team as needed.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years experience in property management or maintenance coordination.
• Hands‑on experience with leasing, tenant relations, and unit turns.
• Strong organizational, communication and self‑starter abilities.
• Detail‑oriented, reliable and able to work independently.

Required skills

• Proficiency with AppFolio or similar property‑management software.
• Experience using Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.
• Familiarity with Asana or comparable task‑management tools.
