Junior Legal Counsel

About the role

We are seeking a Junior Legal Counsel to support our corporate compliance and legal functions. The role will involve monitoring regulatory changes, ensuring company-wide adherence, and providing legal advice to various teams.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and interpret laws, regulations, and government issuances relevant to the business, including updates from agencies such as the SEC, NPC, AMLC, BSP, and DOLE.
• Ensure the company and its partners, vendors, and clients remain fully compliant with applicable regulations.
• Maintain a calendar of deadlines for statutory and reportorial filings and ensure timely submission.
• Keep organized records of all reports and documents filed with government agencies.
• Draft, review, and arrange notarization of agreements and other legal documents.
• Provide corporate secretarial support for management committees and board meetings, coordinating with external service providers.
• Offer legal and compliance advisory to internal teams.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Member of the Integrated Bar of the Philippines.
• Experience in corporate compliance, preferably within a financial institution, bank, lending company, or fintech.
• Strong communication and analytical abilities.
• High attention to detail and well‑organized work habits.
• Due‑diligence experience is a plus.
