Junior IT Support

About the role

The Junior IT Support professional will join Converga’s IT team to provide 24‑hour assistance for desktop, laptop, mobile devices and network infrastructure. This internal, customer‑facing position ensures that all IT services remain operational and that end‑users receive prompt, courteous help.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver first‑line support to internal users, troubleshooting hardware, software and network issues.
• Monitor the status of servers, network components and applications to guarantee uptime.
• Perform regular asset audits for both hardware and software inventories.
• Assist with system‑administration projects and implement updates or patches.
• Anticipate emerging technology trends that could impact IT operations.
• Document incidents and resolutions in the ticketing system.
• Collaborate with other business units to maintain peak system performance.

Required profile

• Completed tertiary IT qualification (fresh graduates are welcome).
• Solid understanding of computer hardware, operating systems and networking fundamentals.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent verbal communication and a proactive “can‑do” attitude.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
