Junior Financial Accountant – Consumer Finance

About the role

We are looking for a detail‑oriented Junior Financial Accountant to join the Consumer Finance team. Reporting to the Supervisor, Receivables & Reconciliations, you will support finance operations by handling cash allocation, banking, reconciliations and account administration. Your work will help maintain the financial health of the business while delivering excellent service to internal and external customers.

Key responsibilities

• Allocate and reconcile customer payments across multiple account types and currencies.
• Perform bank reconciliations and investigate any discrepancies.
• Prepare reconciliation reports and support month‑end close activities.
• Reconcile customer accounts, resolve variances and process refunds, adjustments and account cancellations.
• Investigate payment disputes, chargebacks and manage unallocated funds.
• Maintain direct debit authorities and ensure compliance with customer agreements.
• Provide accurate data entry and administrative support for finance processes.
• Identify process improvement opportunities and collaborate with cross‑functional teams.

Required profile

• Experience in accounts receivable, reconciliations, bookkeeping or junior accounting roles.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Ability to meet deadlines, especially during month‑end periods.
• Excellent organizational, time‑management and communication skills.
• Proactive, solutions‑focused attitude with a passion for customer service.
