About the role
The IT Technical Support Specialist ensures that all computer equipment and peripherals operate smoothly by performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting issues, and supporting IT projects. The role contributes to the overall efficiency of the IT team and helps maintain up‑to‑date technical knowledge.
Key responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance on hardware following manufacturer guidelines.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software malfunctions.
- Maintain inventories of computer peripherals and equipment.
- Evaluate and recommend new equipment as needed.
- Execute assigned IT projects and stay current with professional publications.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve related results.
Required profile
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (preferred).
- Strong problem‑solving abilities and effective written and verbal communication.
- Ability to explain technical concepts to non‑technical users.
- Readiness to start immediately.
Required skills
- Operating systems: Windows, Linux, Unix.
- Networking fundamentals: TCP/IP protocols.
- Database management: SQL.
- Cybersecurity basics and security protocol knowledge.
- System, network, and database administration.
- Hardware and software troubleshooting.
