IT Support Technician – Technical Support

About the role

We are seeking an IT Staff member to provide technical support and ensure the reliability, security, and efficiency of our manufacturing company's IT infrastructure. You will work directly with end‑users, troubleshoot hardware and software issues, and maintain critical systems such as databases and CCTV.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical support for hardware, software, printers, and network‑related concerns.
• Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot desktops, laptops, peripherals, and operating systems.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on IT equipment.
• Administer user accounts, email accounts, passwords, and access permissions.
• Monitor and maintain SQL databases, including backup, recovery, and data integrity.
• Monitor CCTV systems and assist in maintaining IT security controls.
• Install software updates, antivirus solutions, and system patches.
• Maintain IT asset inventory and documentation.
• Support production and office users with day‑to‑day IT requirements.
• Assist in IT‑related projects and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
• 1–2 years of experience in IT Support, Technical Support, Help Desk, or System Administration.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot hardware, software, printers, and network issues.
• Basic knowledge of SQL database administration and backup/recovery.
• Experience managing Windows user accounts and access permissions.
• Familiarity with CCTV systems and IT hardware maintenance is an advantage.
• Strong communication, analytical, and customer‑service skills.
