IT Software Engineer II – Mobile Applications

About the role

The IT Software Engineer II (Mobility) will design, develop, and maintain mobile applications that support both operational and customer‑facing processes for FELCO. Working within the Information Technology department, the engineer will own feature delivery across the full software development lifecycle while ensuring performance, security, and usability standards are met.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and own moderately complex mobile features and integrate them with backend APIs and native device functionalities.
• Analyze, diagnose, and resolve complex bugs and implement significant enhancements to improve performance or stability.
• Create and execute unit, integration, and end‑to‑end test cases for assigned components.
• Prepare detailed design documents, technical specifications, and architecture diagrams for major workstreams.
• Collaborate with product owners, business stakeholders, and cross‑functional teams to translate requirements into technical specifications.
• Participate in architecture discussions and provide guidance to junior team members when needed.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• 1–3 years of professional experience in mobile development, either native or cross‑platform.
• Strong proficiency in at least one primary mobile development platform/framework (e.g., Swift, Kotlin, Java, Flutter, React Native).
• Solid understanding of mobile application lifecycle, native device APIs, and state management.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., Android Certified Developer, iOS certifications) are a plus.
