IT Professor

About the role

The Centre for International Education Global Colleges, Inc. (CIE British School) is looking for an experienced IT Professor to join its tertiary education team in Cebu City. This full‑time position offers the chance to shape future technology professionals through high‑quality instruction, research, and industry collaboration.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver lectures, practical sessions, and laboratory work in information technology subjects using both traditional and innovative teaching methods.
• Assess student performance through exams, assignments, projects and continuous evaluation, providing constructive feedback.
• Maintain accurate records of attendance, progress and academic achievement in line with institutional policies.
• Integrate current industry practices and emerging technologies into course content.
• Develop and nurture relationships with industry partners to keep curricula relevant and create internship opportunities.
• Supervise student projects, theses and capstone assignments, guiding research and practical implementation.
• Participate in curriculum review, development initiatives and departmental meetings.
• Mentor students through office hours, tutoring and academic guidance, and support scholarly research activities.

Required profile

• Master’s degree or equivalent units in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a closely related field.
• Holding Cisco certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP) or a TESDA National Certificate.
• Minimum two years of professional experience in higher‑education teaching of IT or Computer Science subjects.
• Relevant industry experience in software development, networking, cybersecurity, systems administration, database management or cloud computing (preferred).
• Proficiency with learning management systems, educational technology tools and virtual teaching platforms.
• Experience designing practical laboratory exercises and hands‑on learning activities.
