IT Network Administrator – Remote (Philippines based)

About the role

The Proactive Team Network Administrator is a senior technical resource responsible for managing escalations, driving automation, and delivering high‑quality proactive services. This remote position focuses on reducing operational noise, maintaining robust documentation, and mentoring technicians to improve performance and client satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and refine proactive monitoring processes for alerts such as patching, disk space, antivirus, and hardware/software issues.
• Serve as a Tier 3 escalation point for technicians, engineers and operational teams, providing guidance and troubleshooting.
• Develop, maintain and promote automation scripts and tools to minimize manual workloads.
• Create and update SOPs, knowledge‑base entries and technical guidelines to meet internal and industry standards.
• Partner with the Proactive Service Manager and operations leaders to align technical initiatives with business objectives.

Required profile

• Minimum five years of experience in IT support, systems or network administration.
• Proven technical leadership in an IT services, cybersecurity or similar environment.
• Strong experience handling Tier 3 escalations across diverse server environments.
• Excellent problem‑solving, root‑cause analysis and project leadership abilities.
• Effective communication skills for mentoring and cross‑team collaboration.

Required skills

• Windows Server administration (Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP).
• Network configuration and troubleshooting (VPN, VLAN, firewalls, switches).
• Virtualization platforms – VMware vSphere and/or Microsoft Hyper‑V.
• Microsoft 365 administration.
• Scripting and automation technologies (e.g., PowerShell, Python).
