IT Manager – Remote Full‑Time Contractor

About the role

We are looking for a strategic IT Manager to own the end‑to‑end technology function for our team and clients. This full‑time independent contractor role is 100% remote, allowing you to shape IT standards, lead a growing team, and ensure every ticket and deployment reflects a polished, reliable operation.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop the IT team, set performance goals, and manage hiring and onboarding.
• Oversee helpdesk and ticket operations, own SLA metrics, and act as escalation point for high‑priority issues.
• Define and execute device lifecycle strategy, including procurement, provisioning, deployment, maintenance, and retirement.
• Engage with clients at the executive level, translating technical risk into business language.
• Drive continuous improvement through process architecture, root‑cause analysis, and tool evaluation.

Required profile

• Demonstrated leadership by example, with standards that reflect personal performance.
• Ability to shift between strategic planning and hands‑on troubleshooting.
• Strong client‑facing presence, capable of simplifying complex technical concepts.
