Inventory Planning & Strategic Initiatives Specialist

About the role

The Inventory Planning & Strategic Initiatives Specialist supports the planning, allocation, and optimisation of warehouse inventory and fulfillment operations for Shopee's FBS Supply & Demand team. You will work closely with cross‑functional teams to analyse data, develop recommendations and drive improvement projects.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse inventory allocation, seller‑to‑warehouse assignment, inbound performance, inventory transfers and supply planning.
• Monitor inventory and warehouse KPIs through dashboards and regular reports.
• Investigate inbound discrepancies, wrong‑warehouse issues, inventory variances and other operational exceptions.
• Conduct root‑cause analysis and provide actionable recommendations to improve inventory availability, planning accuracy and operational efficiency.
• Identify bottlenecks in forecasting, replenishment, warehouse mapping, capacity and process handoffs.
• Support cross‑functional process improvement, operational optimisation and cost‑efficiency initiatives.
• Assist with project analysis, solution design, timeline tracking, risk identification, implementation and benefits tracking.
• Collaborate with Product, BI, Commercial and Warehouse Operations to translate business requirements into system enhancements, algorithm improvements, reporting solutions or automation initiatives.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of full‑time work experience (fresh graduates welcome).
• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Strong analytical, quantitative and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to communicate clearly in written and spoken English.
• Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, data‑driven and collaborative environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets.
• Experience with SQL, Power BI, Tableau, Looker or Python.
• Familiarity with demand forecasting, replenishment planning, inventory management and warehouse operations.
