Inventory Operations Planner (Operations Excellence)

About the role

The Inventory Operations Planner ensures end‑to‑end inventory planning and execution within the SBS ecosystem, covering demand forecasting, purchase planning, stock distribution and mid‑mile logistics. You will act as the central hub for visibility, metrics and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Operate the visibility nerve centre: track plan vs actual, milestones, ETA risks and handle exceptions.
• Lead daily operations control meetings, prioritising risks, assigning owners and tracking closures.
• Develop SOPs, conduct root‑cause analyses and standardise processes to eliminate recurring delays, discrepancies and cost leaks.
• Design KPI trees and dashboards (daily control, WBR, MBR) with clear thresholds and action triggers.
• Improve data quality by refining event definitions, timestamps and reconciliations; write simple automation specifications.

Required profile

• 2–5 years of experience in control‑room operations, analytics, process excellence or data‑driven operational support.
• Strong data fluency with Excel/Sheets; SQL and BI/dashboarding tools are a plus.
• Implementation mindset: translate analysis into SOPs, training, controls and measurable behaviour change.
• Structured problem‑solving ability with deep RCA experience.
• High auditability standards: clear documentation, ownership and refresh cadence.
• Practical exposure to Lean, Six Sigma or Kaizen methodologies (nice to have).
• Experience in milestone/event‑based logistics tracking and governance preferred.
