Inventory Operations Planner – Mid‑mile Logistics

About the role

The Inventory Operations Planner ensures smooth movement of goods across the mid‑mile network within the SBS ecosystem. You will coordinate stock transfers, track inter‑warehouse shipments, and support regional inventory distribution to keep product flow balanced and timely.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute product movement between warehouses, cross‑docks, and fulfillment centers.
• Align transfer volumes with warehouse capacities and delivery timelines in collaboration with supply‑chain teams.
• Monitor line‑haul arrivals, inter‑warehouse transfers, and regional stock distribution to prevent bottlenecks.
• Identify and escalate risks such as delayed arrivals, stock‑outs, or overstocking.
• Maintain daily trackers and reports on movement schedules, pending transfers, and inventory in transit.
• Support recovery actions for delayed shipments or missed cut‑offs.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering or a related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in inventory planning, supply‑chain operations or logistics; e‑commerce or retail background is a plus.
• Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail and ability to work with large data sets.
• Excellent coordination and communication skills in a fast‑paced, cross‑functional environment.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel / Google Sheets proficiency.
• Familiarity with SQL.
• Experience with dashboarding or data‑visualisation tools.
