International Buyer – Mechanical Procurement (UK/Europe)

About the role

The International Buyer will support CORD Mechanical Ltd in the United Kingdom, handling end‑to‑end international sourcing and purchasing across the UK and Europe. The role is fully remote and operates on a Perth/Manila time schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Review approved purchase requests, confirm specifications, quantities and delivery dates before engaging suppliers.
• Identify and onboard suitable UK and European suppliers, issuing complete RFQs and tracking responses.
• Evaluate quotations on total landed cost, lead time, warranty and risk, and negotiate commercial terms within delegated authority.
• Prepare and release accurate purchase orders, obtain supplier acknowledgements and manage order revisions.
• Coordinate shipment, customs documentation and delivery, resolving shortages, damages or invoice discrepancies.
• Maintain audit‑ready records in Microsoft Dynamics/Business Central and report on RFQ status, savings and risks.

Required profile

• Certificate, diploma or degree in procurement, supply chain, logistics, business or engineering (preferred).
• Minimum three years of hands‑on buying experience, including RFQ management and supplier follow‑up.
• Proven ability to negotiate total landed cost, multi‑currency pricing and freight terms.
• Experience supporting international operations across multiple time zones.
• Strong knowledge of Incoterms, import/export documentation and customs processes.
