Internal Auditor

About the role

The Internal Auditor will provide independent, objective assurance and consulting services to San Miguel Food Group, helping to improve operations, manage risk, and ensure compliance with policies and regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct audit engagements across business units, evaluating risk exposures and internal controls.
• Assess the adequacy and effectiveness of control systems and recommend corrective actions.
• Perform tax compliance audits covering income tax, VAT, withholding tax and local taxes.
• Review financial and operational data for reliability, integrity and accuracy.
• Communicate audit findings and recommendations to management through clear written and oral reports.
• Support continuous‑improvement initiatives and monitor implementation of audit recommendations.

Required profile

• BS in Accounting; CPA, CIA, CFE or equivalent certification preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years experience in external or internal auditing.
• Familiarity with electronic data processing fundamentals and corporate policies.
• Up‑to‑date knowledge of tax regulations and ability to detect indications of fraud.
• Strong analytical, result‑orientation, leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work with limited supervision and communicate effectively in English.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
• Working knowledge of SAP.
• Understanding of international internal auditing standards and accounting standards.
