Intermediate Collections Associate

About the role

The Intermediate Collections Associate supports the Global Business Services (GBS) team by managing collections activities for a diverse client base. The role focuses on improving cash flow, reducing days sales outstanding (DSO), and minimizing exposure to uncollectible debt while providing excellent service to internal and external stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service and respond to client inquiries within established service level agreements.
• Identify, prioritize, and resolve complex payment issues that delay collections.
• Develop, create, and analyze collection and accounts‑receivable reports.
• Update client and stakeholder information using various software tools.
• Monitor and maintain assigned customer accounts under credit terms.
• Present recommendations for writing off delinquent balances.
• Manage requests and responses related to import billing, coordinating with customers, external agencies, and internal departments.

Required profile

• Technical, administrative, or international trade background (preferred).
• Prior experience in collections or customer service (mandatory).
• Advanced English proficiency (B2‑C1) for reading, writing, and communication.
• Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• University degree or international equivalent (desirable).
• Strong organizational and prioritization abilities.
• Less than 1 year of professional experience required.
• Understanding of payment terms, commercial conditions, and collection strategies.

Required skills

• Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) – intermediate/advanced level.
