Inpatient Quality Assurance Trainer (Remote)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Inpatient Quality Assurance Trainer to lead data‑driven education and coaching initiatives. The role focuses on reviewing inpatient DRG coding, identifying performance trends, and creating targeted training programs that enhance coding accuracy and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct quality reviews of inpatient DRG coding to ensure accurate assignment and payer compliance.
• Analyze QA findings to spot coding trends, recurring errors, and improvement opportunities.
• Design, develop, and deliver training programs and educational materials based on QA data.
• Provide one‑on‑one coaching and constructive feedback to coders.
• Collaborate with Quality, Operations, and Clinical Documentation teams to close knowledge gaps.
• Track training effectiveness through QA metrics and recommend continuous improvements.
• Stay current on DRG methodologies, reimbursement changes, and industry best practices.

Required profile

• Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) or Certified Inpatient Coder (CIC) certification.
• Minimum 3 years of inpatient DRG Quality Assurance experience.
• Proven ability to translate QA findings into effective coder education.
• Strong analytical, presentation, and stakeholder‑management skills.
