Infrastructure Architect

About the role

The Infrastructure Architect will provide expert advice to the IT Head and senior officers, shaping the bank’s system infrastructure framework. This role focuses on designing, reviewing, and implementing infrastructure domains—including servers, storage, networking, and databases—to support core banking applications such as Finacle.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain strategic technical infrastructure that aligns with business objectives for availability, performance, scalability, security, data integrity, and cost.
• Design infrastructure solutions that enforce integration, reduce duplication, and ensure standards compliance across applications and environments.
• Identify, test, and define infrastructure standards, processes, metrics, and tools to facilitate implementation and compliance.
• Lead health‑check assessments, recommend improvements, and coordinate changes to meet project and technology requirements.
• Participate in the evaluation and selection of enterprise hardware and software, assessing impact on the approved architecture.
• Document architecture decisions, produce reports, and keep abreast of emerging technologies and industry best practices.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in designing and managing enterprise IT infrastructure, preferably within the banking sector.
• Strong understanding of core banking platforms, especially Finacle.
• Proven ability to lead technical assessments and drive compliance with architectural standards.
• Excellent analytical and research skills to evaluate emerging technologies.
