Information Technology Security Specialist

About the role

The IT Security Specialist will support the bank’s cybersecurity program by implementing, monitoring, and maintaining security controls that protect information assets, systems, and networks from threats. The role ensures compliance with relevant security standards, banking regulations, and internal policies while contributing to risk management initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and manage information security policies, procedures, and controls.
• Monitor security events and respond to incidents in accordance with the bank’s incident response plan.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments and recommend remediation actions.
• Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory requirements and internal audit findings.
• Collaborate with IT and business units to integrate security into projects and operations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in information security or related roles.
• Completed at least 24 hours of relevant security training.
• Eligibility for Career Service Professional for Second Level Position/ PD 907/ RA1080.

Required skills

• Knowledge of information security principles and best practices.
• Familiarity with security monitoring tools and vulnerability assessment methodologies.
• Understanding of banking regulations and compliance standards.
