Information Technology Security Analyst

About the role

As an Information Technology Security Analyst at Acquire Intelligence Philippines Inc., you will protect the organization’s information systems and data from cyber threats. You will work closely with IT teams to embed security into system design, respond to incidents, and continuously improve the security posture.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor security tools and systems for alerts, anomalies, and potential incidents.
• Conduct security assessments, vulnerability scans, and penetration tests to uncover weaknesses.
• Analyze security logs and event data to detect and investigate breaches.
• Respond to incidents, handling containment, eradication, recovery, and post‑incident analysis.
• Develop, implement, and maintain security policies, procedures, and best practices.
• Administer firewalls, IDS/IPS, and SIEM solutions.
• Collaborate with IT teams to ensure security is integrated throughout the development lifecycle.
• Educate employees on security awareness and best practices.
• Stay current with emerging threats, trends, and technologies.
• Prepare detailed reports on incidents, vulnerabilities, and overall security posture.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
• At least 2 years of experience as a Security Analyst or in a similar role.
• Strong understanding of security principles, protocols, and technologies.
• Experience with security information and event management (SIEM) tools.
• Familiarity with vulnerability assessment and penetration testing methodologies.
