Information Security Engineer

About the role

As an Information Security Engineer at Canyon GBS Inc., you will safeguard the integrity and confidentiality of data across our technology platforms. This full‑time remote position is based in the Philippines and works within the Engineering department to embed security into every layer of our solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Establish and manage the company’s information security program.
• Implement security measures such as encryption protocols, access controls, and regular security audits.
• Ensure compliance with data‑protection standards including SOC 2 and ISO 27001.
• Train staff and promote a culture of data security throughout the organization.
• Monitor emerging threats and proactively enhance security protocols.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to secure development and operation of systems.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Cybersecurity or a related field.
• Minimum five years of experience in information security, preferably within a technology company.
• Deep understanding of data‑protection regulations and standards.
• Experience with cloud platforms, especially AWS and Microsoft Azure.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities, attention to detail, and capacity to work under pressure.
• Excellent communication skills and effective remote‑team collaboration.
