Hub Sort Supervisor

About the role

The Hub Sort Supervisor is responsible for overseeing import, export and transit operations at a UPS hub, ensuring on‑time performance and high‑quality service for both internal and external customers. This role combines operational leadership with staff management to drive efficiency and cost effectiveness.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise import, export and transit operations, including customs clearance, to ensure on‑time performance and high‑quality service for internal and external customers.
• Plan, arrange and manage staff rosters to achieve hub cost targets while maintaining operational efficiency.
• Control transit operations and payload air‑feed costs, optimizing aircraft space utilization and cost effectiveness.
• Execute and continuously improve Standard Operating Procedures (MOP) for import, export and transit activities, adapting to business changes.
• Provide training to all hub staff on MOP compliance and safety work methods.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Transportation, Logistics or a related field.
• Minimum 4 years of relevant experience, including at least 1 year in a supervisory or management role, preferably within transportation, logistics or airline cargo environments.
• Strong command of written and spoken English.
• Good knowledge of airline, cargo and warehouse management processes.
• Familiarity with international air routes and customs clearance procedures.
