Head of Financial Institutions Group (FIG) – Philippines

About the role

The Head of Financial Institutions Group (FIG) for the Philippines will drive profitability and market position for ANZ’s FIG clients across the region. This senior role is part of the ANZ Philippines Executive Committee and is responsible for executing the global FIG strategy locally.

Key responsibilities

• Grow the FIG business by developing and executing the country strategy, direct deal engagement, senior client sponsorship and managing regional credit and non‑credit risks.
• Develop and maintain internal relationships with country management, product partners and global FL team counterparts to deliver an efficient global account coverage program.
• Lead client relationships to achieve maximum returns and revenue targets, coordinating with product partners, R&A and credit teams to define credit requirements, deal structuring and risk mitigation.
• Collaborate with product partners, R&A and credit teams to establish credit frameworks and mitigate risks.
• Represent ANZ on the Philippines Executive Committee, shaping culture and business direction.

Required profile

• Proven experience in Financial Institutions coverage, managing a portfolio of FIG clients and delivering business development results.
• Strong communication skills and deep understanding of the local market.
• Demonstrated competence in key lending, transaction banking, financial markets and structured finance.
• Robust risk‑management expertise covering both financial and non‑financial risks.
• Ability to lead and motivate diverse teams, coaching and developing talent.
• Self‑motivated, proactive and capable of operating successfully across cultures.
