Graduate Product Performance Engineer

About the role

Dyson is seeking a Graduate Product Performance Engineer to join its Technology Development team. The role focuses on analysing and optimising the drying and styling performance of hair‑care appliances, working closely with cross‑functional project teams.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with project teams to deliver hair‑style and drying performance that aligns with product vision.
• Identify fundamental factors influencing performance and establish correlations to predict outcomes.
• Analyse experimental test data and analytical assessments, providing actionable recommendations.
• Design and execute test plans to uncover performance drivers.
• Develop scripts in Python, Excel, Minitab or MATLAB to build predictive performance models.
• Propose design mitigations and recommendations to meet performance targets.
• Communicate findings clearly to stakeholders and document work comprehensively.
• Proactively assess risk, formulate problem statements, and resolve issues impacting performance.
• Evaluate lower‑level requirements to ensure compliance with claim targets.
• Contribute to performance trade‑off assessments and drive continuous technical development.
