About the role
The Global Financial Reporting Associate supports financial reporting, reconciliation, data validation, and close activities for Johnson & Johnson Global Services. This entry‑level position ensures financial data is complete, accurate, documented and submitted on time across assigned processes and legal entities.
Key responsibilities
- Perform daily, monthly and quarterly financial reporting and accounting support activities following established procedures.
- Support CFIN ATR processes, including data monitoring, error review, manual journal entry preparation, reconciliation package preparation and close‑related reporting.
- Prepare and support reconciliations for assigned ERP to CFIN data, performing data validation, report preparation and basic variance checks.
- Investigate accounting, reporting or data quality issues, gather details, validate information and escalate exceptions.
- Maintain documentation, audit trails and evidence for reporting, reconciliation, journal entry and control requirements.
- Ensure compliance with global policies, internal controls, SOX and audit requirements, preparing supporting evidence as needed.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders, senior team members, SMEs, technology partners and regional teams to obtain inputs and provide status updates.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, documenting processes, recurring issues and improvement opportunities.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related field.
- At least 1 year of professional experience in accounting, finance operations, general ledger, reconciliation or related finance work; fresh graduates with strong internships may be considered.
- Basic understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, journal entries and close activities.
- Strong attention to detail, documentation discipline and commitment to accuracy and compliance.
- Good written and verbal communication skills and ability to meet deadlines.
Required skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
- Exposure to SAP, SAP Central Finance, BlackLine, BRAVO, TM1 or Analysis for Office.
- Basic knowledge of US GAAP, SOX controls and internal audit requirements.
