GIS Specialist – Renewable Energy Projects

About the role

Join ACCIONA Energía’s growing GIS team in the Philippines to support the development and execution of renewable energy projects. You will provide spatial intelligence for site identification, land management, permitting, engineering design, and construction planning across multiple locations.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and manage GIS databases, geodatabases, and mapping systems for wind and solar projects.
• Prepare and update project maps, land status maps, constraint maps, and other geospatial products for engineering, environmental, permitting, and construction teams.
• Process, encode, validate, and analyze spatial data using GIS and mapping software, including georeferencing, digitization, and data conversion.
• Coordinate acquisition of spatial data from contractors, consultants, government agencies, and other stakeholders.
• Support field verification, site visits, and ensure accuracy of survey outputs and geospatial datasets.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Geodetic Engineering, Geography, Geomatics, Surveying, GIS, or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in GIS, surveying, geospatial analysis, or land management, preferably in renewable energy or large‑scale infrastructure projects.
• Willingness to travel frequently to project sites across the Philippines.

Required skills

• Proficiency with GIS and mapping software such as ArcGIS, QGIS, and Google Earth.
• Experience managing geodatabases and spatial datasets.
• Knowledge of GPS, RTK, and other surveying equipment and methodologies.
• Ability to conduct spatial analysis and generate reports for project planning and risk assessment.
