German Language Teacher

About the role

We are looking for a passionate German Language Teacher to deliver engaging lessons to students of varying proficiency levels, from A1 to B2 and beyond. The role involves both classroom and online instruction, helping learners improve speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills, especially those preparing for work, study, or migration to Germany.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver structured German lessons aligned with the CEFR framework.
• Teach grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, and all four language skills.
• Prepare lesson plans, materials, and interactive classroom activities.
• Conduct assessments, quizzes, and exams to track progress.
• Provide constructive feedback and guide students toward language proficiency.
• Prepare learners for German exams such as Goethe, TELC, or ÖSD.
• Maintain accurate attendance and progress records.
• Collaborate regularly with the Lead German Native Teacher on curriculum and teaching strategies.
• Participate in meetings, training sessions, and school events as required.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in German, Linguistics, Education, or a related field.
• Advanced German proficiency (B2–C1 or higher).
• Teaching certification or relevant teaching experience preferred.
• Experience teaching German as a Foreign Language (DaF) is an advantage.
• Familiarity with the CEFR framework.
