General Manager – Logistics (Expat)

About the role

We are seeking a General Manager – Logistics to lead and transform end‑to‑end logistics operations for a diversified Asia‑Pacific organization. Based in Port Moresby, this expatriate role will oversee a multi‑modal portfolio, driving supply‑chain performance and supporting business growth in dynamic markets.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership across transport, warehousing, distribution and fleet management.
• Drive operational efficiency, cost optimisation and service excellence across geographically dispersed sites.
• Lead large, cross‑functional teams and develop leadership capability throughout the organisation.
• Develop and execute logistics strategies aligned with overall business goals and expansion plans.
• Strengthen governance, compliance and safety standards across all logistics activities.
• Leverage data, systems and emerging technologies to improve visibility, planning and decision‑making.
• Build and manage relationships with key stakeholders, partners and government bodies.

Required profile

• Proven senior logistics or supply‑chain leadership experience (e.g., GM, Director).
• Strong background in complex, multi‑site or emerging‑market environments.
• Track record of driving transformation, scaling operations and leading large teams.
• Commercially astute with solid financial and operational management capability.
• Experience in shipping, transport, mining logistics, FMCG or infrastructure is highly advantageous.
• Ability to influence at executive and board levels.
• Willingness to be based in Port Moresby; expatriate candidates welcome.
