General Ledger Accountant – Remote

About the role

MicroSourcing is seeking a detail‑oriented General Ledger Accountant to join its finance team remotely. You will partner with the business to provide insight for decision‑making, own key parts of the monthly close, and support continuous process improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and post month‑end journals and capitalise software development costs.
• Complete month‑end and year‑end balance‑sheet reconciliations with supporting documentation.
• Maintain deferred revenue schedules, inter‑entity transfer pricing, and sales commission reports.
• Manage fixed‑asset registers, CAPEX tracking, and lease accounting under IFRS 16.
• Handle tax compliance (FBT, GST, BAS, PAYG, IAS, payroll tax) and credit‑card processing.
• Support audit processes, statutory accounts, and internal control development.
• Identify and automate process improvements and perform ad‑hoc reporting.

Required profile

• CPA or Master’s degree in accounting or finance.
• 3–5 years of experience in financial accounting, audit, or corporate accounting.
• Strong experience with general ledger functions.
• Experience in a SaaS, technology, or high‑growth environment is a plus.

Required skills

• Advanced Microsoft Excel.
• ERP systems such as NetSuite, Salesforce, or HubSpot.
• General Ledger accounting.
