General Ledger Accountant – Pipeline (Manila)

About the role

The General Ledger Accountant (Pipeline) will be based in Manila and will manage controllership activities related to period‑end close and finance reporting. The role supports monthly, quarterly and annual close processes as well as regulatory reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly financial reports, annual financial statements and other required internal or external reports.
• Post and analyze journals, balance‑sheet reconciliations, accruals and pre‑payments at month‑end.
• Review and reconcile inter‑company accounts with global Abbott locations.
• Perform multi‑currency bank reconciliations and variance analysis.
• Provide cost information to management and other departments.
• Collaborate with external auditors for year‑end and statutory audits.
• Contribute to finance policy compliance and internal control development.
• Identify and implement process improvements for efficiency.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
• 0‑5 years of relevant experience, preferably in a shared services centre or multinational corporation.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and produce accurate financial summaries.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Office.
• Experience with major ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle.
