General Ledger Accountant – Financial Reporting

About the role

We are looking for a General Ledger Accountant to ensure the integrity and accuracy of Dole’s financial records. The role will manage end‑to‑end GL processes, support timely financial reporting, and contribute to audit readiness across multiple company codes.

Key responsibilities

• Perform full‑cycle GL accounting, from transaction recording to financial reporting for assigned entities.
• Prepare and post periodic journal entries, including employee expenses and other assigned areas.
• Maintain the complete set of accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with internal policies and accounting standards.
• Execute month‑end and year‑end close activities, meeting established timelines.
• Conduct monthly and quarterly account reconciliations, clear aged items, and resolve discrepancies.
• Perform variance analysis on GL accounts, identifying significant fluctuations and underlying drivers.
• Prepare audit schedules, provide documentation for statutory reporting, and liaise with external auditors.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to improve financial controls and reporting efficiency.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience in general ledger accounting and month‑end close processes.
• Strong understanding of accounting standards and internal control policies.
• Ability to analyze variances and communicate findings to stakeholders.
