General Contractor – Building Projects

About the role

We are looking for an experienced General Contractor to lead large‑scale building and renovation projects for By the Sea Resorts in Panama City Beach. The role involves overseeing multi‑million‑dollar hotel and commercial renovations from planning through close‑out, ensuring safety, quality, schedule and budget compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Manage all phases of construction and renovation projects, keeping them on schedule and within budget.
• Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, inspectors, architects, engineers, and ownership representatives.
• Review project plans, scopes of work, timelines, change orders, and budgets.
• Ensure work is performed safely, efficiently, and to high‑quality standards.
• Monitor progress, resolve delays, conflicts, or field issues proactively.
• Maintain clear communication with owners and stakeholders.
• Guarantee compliance with building codes, permits, and safety regulations.
• Oversee project documentation, schedules, punch lists, and close‑out processes.

Required profile

• Extensive experience as a General Contractor or Construction Project Manager on large‑scale renovation or construction projects.
• Proven track record managing multi‑million‑dollar renovation projects, preferably in hotel, resort, or occupied‑building environments.
• Strong knowledge of commercial construction, building systems, subcontractor coordination, budgeting, and scheduling.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, contracts, and scopes of work.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem‑solving abilities.
• High attention to detail and capacity to manage multiple priorities.
