General Accounting Supervisor

About the role

The General Accounting Supervisor leads the general ledger function, ensuring accurate financial reporting and regulatory compliance. This role partners with management to provide financial insights, oversee month‑end and year‑end closings, and drive continuous improvements that support the organization’s financial performance.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise the general accounting team and ensure accurate recording of financial transactions.
• Prepare and review financial statements, reports, and budgets to support business decisions.
• Oversee month‑end and year‑end closing activities while ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct financial analysis, forecasting, and risk assessments to improve financial performance.
• Drive process improvements, strengthen internal controls, and mentor the accounting team.
• Provide financial insights to management and support strategic decision‑making.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accountancy or a related field; CPA preferred.
• 2–3 years of supervisory experience in general accounting or financial reporting.
• Strong background in financial reporting, general ledger management, and accounting standards.
• Excellent analytical, leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills with strong attention to detail.
• Willingness to work extended hours during critical reporting periods.
