General Accountant – Tax & Compliance Support

About the role

We are looking for a General Accountant to support our finance team in tax and regulatory compliance. You will work closely with the Finance Manager, Tax & Compliance Manager and Finance Director to ensure timely and accurate filing of statutory returns and related reports.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and file corporate monthly, quarterly and annual tax returns (VAT, withholding, income, final tax, DST, etc.) and supporting schedules.
• Assist in filing reportorial requirements with PEZA, BOI, SEC and other government agencies.
• Act as liaison for business permit renewals.
• Help prepare the company’s books of accounts for BIR filing.
• Prepare financial statement schedules for month‑end close.
• Perform ad‑hoc tasks within the Finance Department as needed.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in an accounting role; audit firm experience preferred.
• Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and time‑management abilities.
• High energy, team‑oriented, self‑starter with a can‑do attitude.
• Ability to multitask and adapt quickly in a fast‑paced environment.

Required skills

• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook.
• Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint.
