General Accountant

About the role

The General Accountant will maintain the integrity of the general ledger and ensure accurate, complete financial records for the company. This role covers core Record‑to‑Report activities, from journal entry posting to month‑end and year‑end closing, while supporting financial analysis, budgeting and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and monitor general ledger accounts, post journal entries, accruals, depreciation, amortization and foreign‑exchange revaluations.
• Perform timely account and bank reconciliations, maintain supporting schedules and documentation for audit purposes.
• Maintain the fixed‑asset register, record depreciation, and support physical verification of assets.
• Assist with month‑end and year‑end closing, prepare closing schedules, journal entries and resolve outstanding items.
• Prepare monthly management reports, analyze variances and support budgeting and forecasting activities.
• Ensure compliance with tax laws, internal controls and accounting policies, and support internal and external audits.
• Identify process improvement opportunities and contribute to special projects or system implementations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; CPA or equivalent certification is a plus.
• 1‑2 years of experience in general accounting or Record‑to‑Report functions.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and Philippine Financial Reporting Standards (PFRS).
• High level of accuracy, integrity and attention to detail.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ERP/accounting systems.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
