General Accountant

About the role

MicroSourcing is seeking a General Accountant to manage its core financial processes in its Quezon City office. The role involves maintaining accurate ledger records, supporting month‑end and year‑end closes, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded.
• Execute month‑end and year‑end closing processes, including journal entries, accruals, and fixed‑asset depreciation.
• Prepare financial statements (Balance Sheet, Income Statement, Cash Flow) in accordance with GAAP/IFRS.
• Perform monthly bank, credit‑card and intercompany reconciliations.
• Support or oversee accounts payable and receivable functions, verifying invoice approvals and monitoring aging schedules.
• Assist internal and external auditors by providing required documentation and workpapers.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of experience in general accounting or corporate finance.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Strong understanding of standard accounting principles and internal controls.
• Proficiency in financial analysis and reporting.

Required skills

• Experience with cloud‑based ERP systems such as Xero, QuickBooks or NetSuite.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
