General Accountant

About the role

We are looking for a General Accountant to manage the full accounting cycle for our trading business. The role involves handling inventory accounting, receivables, payables, bank reconciliation and tax compliance while working closely with operations, purchasing, sales and management.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain general ledger and perform end‑to‑end bookkeeping for a trading company.
• Monitor inventory movements and record inventory accounting entries.
• Process accounts receivable and accounts payable, ensuring timely invoicing and payments.
• Conduct daily bank and cash reconciliations.
• Prepare and file Philippine tax returns (VAT, EWT, ITR) and ensure compliance with BIR regulations.
• Generate periodic financial reports and supporting documentation.
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure accurate financial data.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy.
• 1–2 years of relevant accounting or bookkeeping experience.
• Experience with general ledger, inventory accounting and tax compliance.
• Familiarity with handling affiliate or sister‑company books is a plus.

Required skills

• Proficiency in QuickBooks accounting software.
