Fraud Detection Officer

About the role

As a Fraud Detection Officer at ANZ, you will protect the bank and its customers from fraud-related losses. Working in a 24/7 fraud operations environment, you will monitor alerts, investigate suspicious activity, and provide timely support to customers experiencing fraud incidents.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor real‑time fraud alerts and detection systems to identify potential fraud risks.
• Analyze customer transactions and account information to assess risk and make risk‑based decisions.
• Manage inbound customer interactions, including lost or stolen card reports and first‑responder calls.
• Investigate and resolve fraud cases from identification through closure, maintaining accurate documentation.
• Balance live fraud alerts with customer enquiries in a fast‑paced operational setting.

Required profile

• Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast‑moving environment.
• Excellent communication skills for sensitive customer interactions.
• Attention to detail and adherence to regulatory and operational requirements.
