Formworks Design Engineer

About the role

The Formworks Design Engineer will create safe, efficient and cost‑effective formwork, falsework, shoring and scaffolding solutions for a variety of construction projects. Working closely with sales, project and operations teams, you will deliver detailed calculations, drawings and technical support throughout the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Design formwork, falsework, shoring and scaffolding systems for residential, commercial, industrial and infrastructure projects.
• Perform structural analysis and engineering calculations to verify safety and stability.
• Prepare engineering layouts, assembly drawings, shop drawings, erection details and material take‑offs.
• Review project plans, specifications and schedules to develop appropriate formwork solutions that meet codes and company standards.
• Provide technical recommendations during client presentations, project meetings and design reviews.
• Collaborate with sales, procurement, production and logistics to ensure timely delivery of engineering deliverables.
• Maintain accurate design reports, calculations, bills of materials and project documentation.
• Support field teams by resolving design issues that arise during construction.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (licensed civil engineer preferred).
• Minimum two years of experience in structural design, formwork design, temporary works or construction engineering.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Familiarity with engineering codes, standards and construction practices.
