Food Assistant (Restaurant) – Part‑Time

About the role

The Food Assistant works in IKEA's restaurant to welcome visitors, encourage longer stays, and create a pleasant dining experience. Reporting to the Restaurant Manager, you will help customers enjoy IKEA’s food offers in a friendly atmosphere.

Key responsibilities

• Engage with store visitors, promoting the restaurant and encouraging repeat visits.
• Maintain a clean, welcoming environment and ensure food is presented attractively.
• Support sales by knowing top‑selling items, assisting with range changes, and contributing to in‑store activities.
• Follow IKEA’s internal policies, operational routines, and functional commercial standards.
• Provide product knowledge about food origins, content, and benefits to customers and colleagues.

Required profile

• Sales‑driven and passionate about food and people.
• Experience in food management or the food industry, with willingness to learn new skills.
• Comfortable working in a fast‑paced retail environment.
• Service‑oriented, customer‑focused, and adaptable to change.
• Good communication, interpersonal, and attention‑to‑detail skills.
