Fleet Coordinator

About the role

The Fleet Coordinator is responsible for planning and overseeing truck deployments, ensuring efficient driver productivity and strict adherence to safety and operational standards. This role supports the Fleet Supervisor in meeting client and partner requirements while maintaining accurate records and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Develop deployment plans, schedules, and routes to maximize driver efficiency.
• Enforce standard operating procedures and safety policies at all times.
• Coordinate maintenance and servicing of all fleet vehicles according to schedule.
• Assist the Fleet Supervisor in liaising with clients and partner forwarders.
• Motivate and guide the team to achieve daily productivity goals.
• Track and manage driver activities and truck movements.
• Issue and collect fleet cards before and after each trip.
• Handle port monitoring and ticket reservations.
• Organize onboarding, orientation, and training for drivers.
• Support strategic planning for logistics operations and route optimization.
• Oversee daily transportation schedules and ensure complete documentation.
• Maintain compliance with transport regulations, company policies, and industry standards.
• Keep organized administrative and operational records.
• Manage inventory tracking vehicle-related expenses such as fuel, parts, repairs, and supplies.
• Prepare accident or incident reports and coordinate insurance claims with the head office.

Required profile

• Proven experience in fleet coordination or transportation logistics.
• Strong knowledge of SOPs, safety policies, and transport regulations.
• Excellent organizational and record‑keeping abilities.
• Ability to motivate teams and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
