Flash Charging Operations Technician

About the role

The Flash Charging Operations Technician ensures that BYD charging stations operate safely and reliably. This role involves hands‑on inspection, maintenance, troubleshooting, and support of charging equipment at field sites.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on charging stations and related electrical systems.
• Conduct inspections, testing, and fault diagnosis; replace components as needed.
• Carry out routine site inspections, ensure chargers are clean, operational, and properly maintained.
• Support charger installation, commissioning, and testing activities.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and spare‑parts inventory.
• Follow safety procedures, report hazards, and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Complete accurate service reports, maintenance records, and update the maintenance system.
• Provide on‑site technical assistance and help resolve customer‑reported charging issues.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or Mechatronics.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in electrical, facilities, maintenance, or technical support.
• Basic knowledge of electrical systems and troubleshooting.
• Ability to perform site‑based, hands‑on work.
• Electrical licenses or certifications are an advantage.
• Valid driving licence.
