Financial Controller – UK Accounting (Remote)

About the role

We are seeking a Financial Controller with strong UK accounting knowledge to manage day‑to‑day financial operations for a sustainability consultancy. The position is fully remote, supporting the business from the Philippines and reporting to the Operations & Strategy Director.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain the sales ledger and ensure revenue assurance.
• Process the purchase ledger and prepare payments.
• Manage cash flow, forecasting and cost control.
• Provide month‑end reporting and support strategic financial analysis.
• Identify and improve gaps in existing financial systems and processes.
• Collaborate with sales and consulting leads to capture billing details and PO numbers.
• Keep accurate data in HubSpot, QuickBooks and cash‑flow models.

Required profile

• Solid foundation in UK accounting practices.
• Ability to work independently with strong ownership and initiative.
• Experience delivering strategic financial insights to senior leadership.
• Excellent attention to detail and process discipline.
