Financial Controller – Manila (Hybrid)

About the role

The Financial Controller, based in Globespan’s Manila support office, leads accounting, financial reporting and control functions for multiple business units, ensuring accurate financial information, compliance and insightful decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Lead day‑to‑day accounting operations for Globespan Travel Management and its INA Prime unit.
• Manage month‑end, quarter‑end and year‑end close, ensuring timely and accurate financial statements and management reports.
• Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, account reconciliations and cash‑management processes.
• Prepare and review monthly financial statements and consolidate results across multiple entities and currencies.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies and regulatory requirements, and coordinate internal and external audits.
• Maintain and strengthen internal controls, financial governance and risk‑mitigation processes.
• Monitor cash flow, forecast working capital needs and identify opportunities for operational efficiency.
• Lead, coach and develop the accounting team, fostering a collaborative and high‑performing environment.
• Partner with operational leaders to provide financial insights, budgeting, forecasting and performance analysis.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field (CPA preferred).
• 7+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience, including at least 3 years in a supervisory role.
• Strong background in financial reporting, month‑end close, account reconciliations and general accounting operations.
• Experience managing accounts payable, cash management and internal controls.
• Exposure to multi‑entity and multi‑currency environments, preferably in a multinational or travel‑services organization.
• Proven ability to coordinate internal and external audits.
• Familiarity with budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis processes.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP/financial systems.
