Financial Controller

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Financial Controller to lead the finance function for our international business, supporting operations in New Zealand and the United States. This hands‑on role combines accounting expertise with strategic insight to drive growth in a fast‑paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end finance across international entities, including New Zealand and USA operations.
• Oversee accounting activities such as general ledger, AP/AR, bank reconciliations and month‑end close.
• Prepare management accounts, financial reports and performance analysis.
• Handle multi‑currency transactions, intercompany accounting and FX exposure.
• Develop forecasts, budgets and cash‑flow projections.
• Monitor working capital, margins, profitability and financial risks.
• Partner with directors and operational teams to provide commercial insights.
• Coordinate with external accountants to ensure accurate reporting and compliance.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Financial Controller or senior finance role.
• Exposure to New Zealand, USA, Singapore or other international accounting environments.
• CA, CPA or equivalent professional accounting qualification preferred.
• Experience in multi‑entity and multi‑currency accounting, including intercompany and FX.
• Strong hands‑on experience managing GL, AP/AR, reconciliations and month‑end close.
• Excellent analytical, commercial and problem‑solving abilities.
