Financial Controller

About the role

The Financial Controller will lead all financial functions of a food group, ensuring accurate reporting, effective budgeting, cost control and compliance with regulations. This senior position requires strong analytical abilities, leadership, and deep knowledge of the food and beverage industry's financial dynamics.

Key responsibilities

• Manage overall financial operations, including accounting, budgeting, forecasting and analysis.
• Monitor and analyse monthly, quarterly and annual reports for accuracy.
• Lead the preparation of the annual budget and long‑term financial plans.
• Ensure timely preparation and submission of financial statements and management reports.
• Conduct cost analyses to support pricing decisions and improve profitability.
• Track key performance indicators and drive improvements in financial performance.
• Maintain compliance with statutory, tax and internal policy requirements.
• Coordinate with external auditors, tax consultants and regulatory bodies.
• Supervise and develop the finance and accounting team.
• Provide strategic financial input to senior management and business units.
• Oversee inventory and cost‑control processes in manufacturing and distribution.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy (CPA preferred).
• 5–8 years of experience in a senior financial role, preferably in the food or FMCG sector.
• Strong understanding of financial statistics and accounting principles.
• Excellent leadership, communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Analytical mindset with strong problem‑solving skills.
• High attention to detail and strong organisational skills.

Required skills

• Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle or NetSuite.
